    Employment: worked in the floral industry until 1986, managed several stores for Dudley's Floral in Parkersburg and surrounding towns; owned and managed in partnership with his mother, Gothenburg Floral in Gothenburg, Neb., and later Buck's Floral in Kearney until it closed in 1986; 1986, became a VISTA volunteer with Mid-Nebraska Community Services, setting up and becoming the first director of the Mid-Nebraska Food Bank in Kearney; moved to Loveland, 1991, was the custodian of the church, retired because of health, 2002

    Retired in 1992 after 37 years of service with the U.S. Navy and Federal Aviation Administration. Had resided in Dallas, Ore., from 1971 to 1979 while working at the Laurel Mountain radar site.

    Graduated from Riverdale High School; earned a bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in music from Kearney State Teachers College.
    Was substitute teacher in the music department at KSTC for a year and in the speech department for a year; taught organ and piano in her home music studio for many years.
    Married: June 25, 1929, to Theodore Schnoor in Kearney. He died in 1967.
    Activities: member of the church and the Altar Society; charter member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Service League; past chairman of the Gray Ladies of the Red Cross, Kearney Music Teachers Association, Community Concert Association, AARP, Kearney Retired Teachers Association and the Golden K Kiwanis.
    Survivors include: son, Edward of Silver Spring, Md.; sister, Evelyn Dickey of North Platte; three granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by husband, three brothers.

    Operated a bakery in Sterling, Colo., until 1947; moved to Kearney in 1947, owned Sehnert's Bakery until 1959; sold the bakery, then owned Sehnert's Liquor Store
    Husband died in May 1972. She retired from the liquor store in 1973
    Activities: Red Cross Volunteer, helping with blood drives, volunteer in the Good Samaritan Hospital Gift Shop for many years, made baby caps for newborns at the hospital. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Kearney, for more than 55 years; enjoyed playing checkers, bridge and bingo, and spending time with family

    Grew up in Neosha Falls, Kan., graduated from Hastings High School, 1930; graduated from Hastings College, 1937
    Taught for three years in country school and in Prosser while earning her degree.
    Married: Oct. 17, 1937, to Leroy Walker in Hastings; lived in Kearney, Alliance and York; moved to Gibbon in 1946.
    Earned her master's degree and taught math in Gibbon Public Schools from 1964 - 1974
    Activities: enjoyed traveling and spending time with family; also enjoyed music and sang in and directed the church choir for many years; a member of the church; had been an elder of the Gibbon Presbyterian Church and was a member until it merged with the United Methodist Church in 1971; member of the Faith United Methodist Women, PEO, DAR, Women's Club and the Mid-State Rock Club; husband died in October 2002

    Survivors include:son, Allan, Gibbon; daughters, Jean Morris of Omaha, Janet Schanou of Aurora and Nancy of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Marge Roberts of Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; Preceded in death by husband, two brothers and a sister.

    Helped at her family's newspapers, the Farnam News, Overton Observer and Elm Creek Beacon, for many years; involved in the newspaper business for all but 13 years of her life
    Married: Aug. 13, 1957, to Norm Taylor. They published the Beacon Observer in Overton and Elm Creek.
    Activities: attended the church in Overton; member of the Elm Creek Lions Club; enjoyed gardening, reading, history, high school and family reunions, stray cats and dogs, camping, traveling, and exploring
    Survivors include: husband; daughter, Gail Johnson of Stockville; mother of Overton; one grandson; one great-grandson; and sister, Donella Tiede of Overton; Preceded in death by her father and a sister.

    Parents: Ed and Lillie GORMAN Grew up in Pennsylvania
    Married: Donald Vohland in Maryland; moved to a farm in the Gibbon area, later moved to Minden. Her husband died in 1982. She moved to East View Courts in Minden and then to Bethany Home in 1991
    Activities: enjoyed watching television, playing bingo and the activities at the home
    Survivors include: son, Eddie of Kearney; daughters, Paulette Lee of Modesto, Calif., Annette Williams of Minden and Fayette Williams of Kearney; brother, Fred Gorman of Pennsylvania; sister, Betty Gorman of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren; Preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
