QRYTEXT: Hi trying to find out about ancestors that settled in Buffalo. Have traced that they sailed from Ireland to New York in 1903. The address they gave for where they were staying was 10 Niagara Square, Buffalo. I know now that this is now civil buildings. Their names were Mary Pender and Patrick Pender and other siblings did travel from Ireland to Buffalo after this date. How would I find out who lived there in 1903 as I can't get any proper information from the census records online (i.e. who were they staying with?). Many thanks in advance.

QRYTEXT: Hi-- A member of my family joined the "Gold Rush", arriving at Ft. Childs on 27 May, 1849. He wrote a letter home from there, I think it was his last, he died of cholera soon after. It seems that Ft. Childs was later named Ft. Kearny. I am trying to find the burial site of William Jenks, he may be there or to the west, I don't think he made it to CA. His letter mentions "Joel" being sick. This is probably Joel Estes, who could have died there too. Any info is greatly appreciated.
