Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. Terry Roder and the Rev. Ralph Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Danbury Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday, with a rosary by St. Mary's Society at 3 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury and Mapleton, Iowa. Elizabeth "Betty" Brigetta Webb, the daughter of Ignatius and Gertrude (Walz) Lammers, was born May 29, 1927, at Fordyce, Neb., where she grew up and graduated from high school. On Sept. 7, 1955, Betty was united in marriage to John Webb at Fordyce. The couple then made their home at Bloomfield, Neb. and later at Ulysses, Neb. The family moved to Danbury in 1966. John died April 10, 1972. That same year, Betty began working for the Maple Valley School as a secretary, first in Danbury and later in Mapleton as the Maple Valley School Board secretary. She retired in 1990. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Rosary Society in Danbury. Betty enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Thursday Card Club. Survivors include a son and his wife, John and Starla Webb of Schleswig, Iowa; three daughters, Joan Ford of Mapleton, Celia Zediker and her husband, Owen, of Mapleton and Judy Webb of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Nikki Welte, Kyle Ford, Jeremy and Joe Zediker and Justin and Brooke Webb; two great-grandchildren, Mia and Jaxson Welte; a brother, Father Ralph Lammers of Omaha, Neb.; four sisters, Dorothy Lammers and Alice Lammers, both of Omaha, Rita Lange and her husband, Virgil, of Fordyce and Helen Soukup of Edina, Minn. Along with her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
