DALTON.  Pop 450.  Cheyenne county.  Settled in 1902.  A village on the C B & Q R R 20 miles n of Sidney.  Has Catholic, Presbyterian and lutheran churches, a commercial club, a bank, a hotel, 3 grain elevators, an electric light plant and water works.  A weekly newspaper the Delegate, is published.  Land sells at $30 to $75 per acre.  Ships grain, potatoes and live stock.  esp Adams.  Tel W U.  J C Frandsen P M.

GURLEY.  Pop 75.  Cheyenne county.  A p o on the C B & Q R R 6 miles s of Dalton.  Has a Lutheran church, a bank, a hotel, and a grain elevator.  Esp Adams.  Tel W U.  C Crees P M.

LODGE POLE.  Pop 400.  Cheyenne county.  Settled in 1886.  Incorporated as a village in 1901.  On the U P R R 18 miles e of Sidney.  Has Methodist Lutheran and Catholic churches, a commercial club, 2 banks, 2 hotels, an opera house, 2 grain elevators, an electric plant and water works.  A weekly newspaper, the Express, is published.  Land sells at $25 to $100 per acre.  Ships grain, poultry, cream and hay.  Exp Am. SIDNEY.   Pop 2,000.  Cheyenne county.  The county seat on the U P and C B :& Q rys 414 miles w of Omaha.  Has Catholic, Christian, Dunkard, Episcopal, English and German Lutheran and Methodist churches, a public library, a commercial club, 3 banks, 6 hotels, 2 grain elevators, storage and ice plant, an opera house, a $65,000 court house, an electric light plant andwater works.  A weekly newspaper the Telegram is published.  Land sells at $15 to $70 per acre.  Ships live stock, grain and potatoes.  Exp Adams and Am.  Tel W U.  J T McIntosh P M.
