Official Draft List for Cheyenne County

      Below is the complete, corrected and official draft list of Cheyenne county.  Keep it for reference and record.  The first call quota for this county is 105.  The volunteer enlistment up to June 30th lowers this number to 71, which is the number required for drafting.  Enlistments after June 30th will be credited on the next call. 
      The first one hundred and fifty men on the list have been notified on the first call.  Fifty are summoned for examination on Monday, August 6th.  The next fifty have been summoned for Tuesday, August 7th.  The next fifty have been summoned for Wednesday, August 8th.  Sheriff Sitton, County Clerk Slawson, and the County Physician Eikner comprise the official examining board.  Appeal may be made for exemptions to the district board.  Physical examination will be given first to the entire one hundred fifty.  After that selective draft will be made.  Seventy-one men must be chosen.  As fast as one man is found exempt, the next higher will be taken, until seventy-one shall have been chosen.  Number to right of name is the order in which he will be called.
