My late husband's father was Roy Spenjamin Kloman. Family legend claimed that he was the largest baby born to that date (1890's) in Broken Bow NE. Spenjamin was his mother's maiden name, so I was told. Any information would be appreciated.

I previously posted a note (see 7-Jul-98 below) regarding my maternal grandmother (Helen Amanda Crisman) being born in Lomax, NE on 2-Nov-1907. I understand that Lomax is no longer in existence. I have some information that indicates that Lomax may have been located about 4-1/2 miles southeast of Oconto in the southern part of the county. There apparently is a cemetery there known as Viola Cemetery which is also known as Lomax Cemetery. My Grandmothers father was a station master in Lomax for the railroad (reportedly Union Pacific). Apparently there was a mail stop or water stop at Lomax. The closest railroad to the Oconto area based on my current map is approximately 20 miles away. I understand that a railroad used to go through Oconto. Does anyone have information on Lomax or can anyone confirm that a railroad used to go through this area?
