 You're invited to join the Custer County Historical Society.
We can't do it alone and we need your help.		 
       
  
      
 Our mission is to preserve and make available to the world the history of the communities and citizens of Custer County, Nebraska, and to make that history available to the world. 
      
 Our annual income looks like this:
  • $7500 from memberships from people like you
  • $5,000 from the County Board of Supervisors
  • $2,000 from memorials and special gifts
 
      
 This provides us enough to pay the utilities, keep the rain out, and hire a very part time curator who works for peanuts because she loves history and helping people find their roots. A 12 member board from communities around the county oversees the operation, and a dozen or so additional volunteers do a great deal of our work.
