I am looking for more information about Calvin Ripley {1804-1874] who died at Elk Creek, Dakota County, NE, Nov 20, 1874, and his family. Where is Elk Creek and where might Calvin be buried? His daughter, Jennie, married John McEathron, a Civil War Vet, who might have moved to Neb from Lena, with Calvin about 1869. The Dakota City Mail of that date printed his obit. Appreciate any info.

would have been born about 1890 and later married John Rieper.
He was killed and she was left with a son. Any information would be
