Farmerís Elevator Company
Thursday, January 30, 1930 the office of the Farmerís Elevator Company, located in the east part of the village of Denton, was entered during the night . There was $7.00 in cash taken from a strong box, along with eight gallons of gasoline from the station pump.
Mr. F. V. Daniels, the manager of the Farmerís Elevator, discovered the break in when he opened the elevator at 7:00 Friday morning. The safe had been left unlocked which made it easy for the bandits to get the cash while they filled their car with gas. The lock on the gas pump had been broken. There was $7.00 in the elevator office that was wrapped and stacked in a paper box. The boxes were disturbed and the money was taken.
