Anthony C. Keller, better known as "Tony" retired restaurant owner from Grafton, died Jan.28, 2000 at the Chandler Health Care Center in Chandler Ariz.

Services were held on Monday, Jan.31 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Chandler, Ariz. Father Joseph Cain, former parish priest at Grafton's St. Helena's Catholic Church, assisted in the service. The military internment was held Feb. 2 at the Arizona Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Tony was born Jan. 16, 1921 in Grafton to Frank and Mary Wren Keller. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1938. He attended Santa Anna Community College in Santa Anna, Calif. prior to his induction into the service. Tony served his country during WWII as a sergeant in the Army Air Force. He was involved in numerous campaigns with the 310th Bombardment group in Italy and France.

In 1948, Tony married Dorothy Ehly of Sutton. Together they built a successful restaurant business in Grafton which they owned and operated for 42 years. Tony was very proud of the success of their business, but always acknowledged that it was a partnership with Dorothy that allowed it to succeed.

Tony is survived by his wife Dorothy; four daughters, Charlotte and Ray Schuttinga of St. Paul, Minn., Lu Ann and Marty Brown of Tucson, Ariz., Christi and Ralph Johnson of Chandler, Ariz., Gina and Bob Barrett of Lincoln and one son, Douglas Keller of Mesa, Ariz.

He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren Andy and Bethany Schuttinga, Molly Schuttinga, Libby Johnson, Jay Johnson and Eric, Kara and Ross Hoelscher and his great grandchild, Lexus Johnson.

He is also survived by his brother, Francis "Dean" and Joan Keller of Tempe, Ariz.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clete, Don, Ed, Paul and one sister, Delores.
