Shickley

Shickley, a town in the southwestern part of Fillmore county, is on the DeWitt and Holdredge branch of the B & M RR and the Superior branch of the F E & M V RR. It has a population of 300 and is steadily growing. A bank with a capital of $50,000, a hotel and a newspaper, the Shickley Herald contribute toward the business operation of the place. The churches are the Congregational, Methodist Episcopal, Swedish M. E. and Christian.
