Frontier County is in southwestern Nebraska and is bordered by Lincoln, Dawson, Gosper, Furnas, Red Willow and Hayes Counties. The 2000 population was 3099.
The county was formed from unorganized territory in 1872 and Stockville was named the county seat, due to its central location.
My name is Chris Christensen and I am pleased to be your host. Here you will find burials in all of the county cemeteries, an index of marriages, civil war veterans and much more. I hope you will enjoy your visit to Frontier county and will return as more information is added.
Welcome to my home county.
