QRYTEXT: In the 1940s and 50s a resident of Wilsonville was C. A. Hall, who worked at the Wilsonville Bank. He was the nephew of Andy Hall, who made history as a member of the 1869 expeditioin of John Wesley Powell down the Colorado River. C. A. Hall very briefly coresponded with some Colorado River historians in the 1940s, and it seemd he still had at least one historically important letter that historians never saw. Does anyone know what became of C. A. Hall or his descendants? Thanks!

I was wondering if someone might know where I could get copies. (Note: I did send a note to the Furnas Co. Gen. Society, but have not as yet received a response though that might be because this is a busier-than-usual time of year...) I checked with the Nebraska State Historical Society and they only have four issues for years 1985-1987. The Zella KNOWLES mentioned in the articles was my great-great grandmother's sister. Title of Article Charles H. & Zella Knowles Wilson, NE Periodical Furnas County Genealogical Society Quarterly Newsletter Beaver City, NE: Fall 1991. They were listed in both the 1900 and 1910 censuses in that county, though by 1920 census they were in Los Angeles, where WILSON was listed as proprietor of cigar store. They had a daughter Marion born 1903 in Furnas County. According to the early census records, WILSON was in real estate in Furnas County. Zella's youngest sibling, Walter KNOWLES, was listed in the 1900 census as residing with Zella and Charles WILSON. By 1910 censes, Walter was in Washington state. QRYTEXT: Does anyone have information on the Sidney Smith Smead family that moved to Nebraska from Massachussetts somewhere between the 1870's and 1880's? We have found the Smead memorial in Edison, Nebraska where Sidney, his wife, daughter-in-law, and grandchild are buried. We have been unable to trace the daughter of Sidney named Kate Joanna. She appears on the1880 census with her family in Genoa and then we can find no record of her. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
