Cards are out announcing the marriage of Miss Olive Shepherd, of Webb City, Mo, to Roy Lewis, of Valley Junction, Iowa. Miss Shepherd is the daughter of Rev Shepherd who was formerly pastor of the Presbyterian church in Fairbury, and Mr Lewis was practically raised here, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Lewis, now residing here.

Married, at the home of bride's parents in Lincoln precinct, Feb. 20, Miss Mamie Smalldon and Wm. F. Karges. Many relatives of the bride and groom were present and a great many beautiful and useful presents were received. These young people have lived in this community since childhood and have the respect of all. Mr. Karges is a young farmer of energy and has already established a home whither they go carrying with them best wishes of all who know them.

Last Wednesday Dec 23, 1908, occurred the wedding of Miss Lena Stegeman to Mr Harry Renean, at the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stegeman. The wedding march was played by the brides sister, Mrs. Greelee. Rev Maxwell pastor of the Christian church of htis city spoke the words that made them husband and wife. The bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stegeman and was born and raised in this county and has the confidence of all her friends. The groom is at present employed as extra agent for the Burlington railroad at McDonald, Kans. and the young couple departed for that place to make their future home.

Married, at the residence of the bride's grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Shamberger, at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Miss Daisy Swartz and Mr. Elbert M. Dawson, Rev. J.A. Barker officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Swartz of this city and is well known here. The groom is in the employ of the Rock Island at Belleville and is said to be energetic, reliable and in every way an exemplary young man. The happy couple left shortly after the ceremony for Belleville where the groom had already established a permanent residence.
