Mr. Miers died in 1962. Mrs. Miers died Sat. 8 Jan 2005, Central City, NE. Graveside service: Tues. Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery near Polk, NE. Survivors: 2 grandchildren. Predeceased by both husbands, and 2 sons: Henry & Marvin Dittmer.

Walter died 22 Aug 1950. 27 Nov 1955: She married Wilbur "Bill" Hernbloom at Central City, NE. They lived in Stromsburg (Polk County). Bill died in 1978. Marie worked in Stromsburg & Osceola, NE.  She died Wed. 9 Feb 2005, at Osceola, NE. Service is today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Central City. Burial at Bureau Cemetery (Pierce Chapel), near Clarks, NE. Survivors: A son, a daughter, 9 gch., 28 g-gch., 18 gg-gch.; a sister-in-law. Predeceased by 2 husbands, 1 granddaughter - Nancy Fritz; 1 grandson - Joseph Fritz; 4 brothers - Claude, Art, Henry & Walter Schlondorf; a sister - Margaret McMahon.
