An Arabic word meaning "good", "honest", or "religious" man. And, as I've been informed, applies to all who have lived or live in Nuckolls county, and all their progeny. The post office was established in 1893 and discontinued in 1902. The community was located along the Missouri Pacific Railroad. The community is not on my modern atlas.
Alechol post office established in 1893 and discontinuted in 1902. No additional reference found.
Angus was names for J B Angus. On referrence says he was a CB&Q official and another says he was a Burlington Railroad official. Not knowing for sure if CB&Q is Burlington or not I list both. Originally, Ox Bow, the post office was extablished in 1873, changed in 1886 and discontinued in 1977. The Lincoln Land Company plaatted the town.
