Nearly nine years following the organization of and first election within Nuckolls county, Nebraska the author's ancestors migrated from Switzerland to Saint Stephens Parish and Precinct. They left Switzerland in December 1879, arrived in Nebraska in January 1880, and settled in the Saint Stephens District near June 1880.
