Lee Kenneth ANDERSON, age 67, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away July 29, 2009
in Osceola, NE. Funeral services were held Aug 1, 2009 at the Evangelical 
Covenant Church in Stromsburg. Interment was in the Circle Mound Cemetery 
near Rising City, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and 
Amy Anderson; and infant daughter Nicole LeAnn Anderson.

Norman Wayne, LEACH age 86, of Osceola, NE, passed away Aug 10, 2009. 
Funeral services were Aug 13, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola. 
Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his 
parents Verl and Anna Leach.

Marion Louise HEINDRYCKX, age 92, Lincoln, NE, formerly of Osceola, NE, passed 
away Aug 10, 2009 at her daughters home in Wahoo, NE. Memorial services held 
Aug 13, 2009  at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Osceola. Inurnment was in the 
Osceola Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert 
Heindryckx, one daughter Mary Ellen Heindryckx, three brothers John, Gilbert and  
A. E. Jr., Bryan; one sister Barbara Tank; one grandson Matt Woita and one 
step-great grandchild Nick Peters.

Kathleen BENDER, 75, of Columbus, NE, died Aug 6, 2009, in Lincoln, NE.
The funeral held Aug 10 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus, NE.  Interment 
was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Grafton, NE  Monday afternoon. Kathleen 
was preceded in death by her parents George and Sara O’Brien, infant sister 
Theresa O’Brien and sisters Mary McCarthy and Helen Jennett.

Inez E. KROON, 86, of Lincoln, NE, widow of Clifford, died July 30, 2009. 
She was born in Stromsburg, NE to Emil and Selma (Danielson) Allison 
on Sept 21, 1922. Funeral services were Aug 4th  at Lincoln Memorial 
Funeral Home. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alyce CUDDEFORD age 93, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away Aug 16, 2009. 
Funeral services Aug 19th at the Evangelical Free Church in Stromsburg. 
Interment was in Valley View Cemetery in Genoa, NE. She was preceded 
in death by a granddaughter Tammy Luebbe, three sisters Wilma 
Lane, Nell Johnson and Blanche Johnson, and one brother 
Maynard Brown.

Betty WIESEMAN 65, of Grand Island, NE, died Aug 14, 2009 at Lakeview. 
Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island, NE. 
Burial Tuesday at the Osceola Cemetery. Betty was preceded in death by 
her parents.

Clemens E. "Teeno" SWANSON, 84, of North Platte, NE,  passed away 
Aug 14, 2009 at his home. Graveside services Aug 18, 2009 at Fort 
McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE, with full military honors.

Walter Raymond UMSHLER Jr., age 79 of Osceola, NE, formerly of Shelby, NE, 
passed away Aug 18, 2009 in Osceola. Funeral services were held Aug 22, 2009 
at the Shelby United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents 
Walter and Vera Umshler, one infant son Tracy; two brothers Warren and Art 
Umshler; two sisters Shirley Lamont and Elaine Mason.

Roger A. BRAZDA, 67, of Hordville, NE, died at the Nebraska Veterans Hospital 
in Grand Island, NE, Aug 22, 2009. Funeral services Aug 26, 2009 at Trinity 
Lutheran Church in Polk, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; his 
brother Jim Brazda and three nephews Kevin Brazda, Robert Brazda and 
Keith Brazda.

Mary J. “Janet” ENGEL, 75, of Clarks, NE, died Aug 20, 2009, at her home. 
Services were held Aug 22, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at Clarks. Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery at Clarks. She was preceded in death by her 
husband Fritz; one daughter Patricia “Pat” Engel; one sister Jean, and 
four brothers Don, Bill, Dewayne and twin brother Jim.
