She was born Mar 26, 1924 at Union to John William and Grace Elizabeth (Montgomery) Everett. She married Kenneth Miller Hoback Oct. 18, 1941 at Rock Port, Mo. She was preceded by brothers Bill Everett and Marshall Everett; sister Patricia Marunda; and great grandson Jaxson Popish. Funeral services Mar 9, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City. Burial is at East Union Cemetery – Union. Nebraska City, Neb. — Paul E. STOLL 86, of Nebraska City died Mar 6, 2011. He was born on Oct. 16, 1924 in Dunbar to Joseph William and Ruth Esther (Williams) Stoll. He served in the Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946 with the 310th Infantry-78th Division. He married Marie A. Allen on Feb. 10, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebraska City. He was preceded by son Paul E. Stoll, Jr.; son-in-law Charles “Chuck” Johnson; three brothers and five sisters. Omaha, Neb. — Donald Burr KEYSER, 92, of Omaha, died at his home Mar 12, 2011. He was born April 15, 1918 in Nebraska City to Val and Elsi Keyser. He was preceded by first wife Mary Belle. He served in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of Nebraska School of Pharmacy and worked as an executive medical representative for Merck and Company. He was a retired pharmacist. Omaha, Neb. — Marshall Lee JEFFREY, 54, of Otoe died in an Omaha hospital, on Mar 14, 2011. He was born Mar 16, 1956 at Wichita, Kan., to Robert and Ruth (Heft) Jeffrey. He married Loanna Cooper on Nov. 21, 1982 at Liberal, Kan. He was preceded by his father Robert Jeffrey and sister Dixie Jeffrey. Funeral services Mar 19, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe. Omaha, Neb. — Barbara Ann (Scheinost) SCHWEITZER, 50, died at Methodist Hospital in Omaha Mar 10, 2011. She was born June 28, 1960 at Lynch to Ladimer N. and Hildred G. (Hafsaas) Scheinost. She was preceded by brothers Edwin and Lyle, sister Marie and niece Amanda. Funeral was Mar 15, at St. Paulinus Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date at Park Hill cemetery. He was born in Nebraska City Mar 13, 1916 to Otto and Agnes Wirth. He farmed in Otoe County. He married Charlotte McGowen, in Columbia, Mo., on Dec. 23, 1941. He was preceded by his wife, Charlotte in 2002, infant daughter Barbara, brother Jerome in 2004 and brother Austin in 2004. A funeral Mass was held Mar 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nebraska City. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Nebraska City with the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard conducting military honors. She was born on Mar 2, 1943 in Omaha to Harold Patrick and Florence (Kelly) Sheridan. She married Jack Lee Spidell on Sept. 30, 1967 at the Methodist Church in Nebraska City. She was preceded in death by daughter Evelyn Louise “Ev” Spidell on Feb. 6, 2005, an infant brother, brother Patrick, and nephew Tony Rathbun. Services Mar 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebraska City. Inurnment will be held at a later time in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City. Nebraska City, Neb. — Verl ACKLEY, 94, of Union, died at Duff’s Friendship Villa – Nebraska City on Mar 12, 2011. He was born April 6, 1916 at Riverton, IA to Wayne U. and Vera S. (Shull) Ackley. He married Phyllis Lillian Johnson on June 25, 1950 at Omaha. He was preceded by sisters Velma Brown and Vera Mae Burgess. He lived in Union for more than 60 years. He served in the Army during WWII. She was born May 4, 1946 in Nebraska City to Robert and Leona (Ruehs) Young. She married Andrew Fossum on Dec. 28, 1979 at Syracuse. She was preceded by her parents and father-in-law Orrin Fossum; sister-in-law Carol Young and foster brother-in-law Marvin Robinson. Memorial service Mar 12, at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Omaha. Burial at Park Hill Cemetery, Syracuse. Lincoln, Neb. — Wilber Dean BARRETT, 69, Lincoln, died Mar 5, 2011. He was born Nov. 16, 1941 in Nebraska City to Delbert W. and Lola (Abbott) Barrett. He served in the National Guard for over 41 years. He married Marcia K. Weddle in June 1962. They divorced in Sept. 1974. He then married Jeanne M. Secord in Mar 1975. She preceded him in Feb. 1982 of cancer. Dean married Linda L. Simmons Lockwood at Magic Island, Honolulu in Sept. 2000. Funeral services were Mar 9 at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.
