She seems to have been born in Palmyra\Otoe\NE to Albert C. & Loretta E. HOYT around 1879. Albert HOYT had been born c1850 in Illinois and Loretta HOYT had been born c1853 in Indiana. Other HOYT siblings included: Ella M. HOYT b.c1874NE and Miron C. HOYT b.c1875 NE. Seek contact with HOYT descendants to determine Hattie's relationship to SHOTTMILLER/HANNAN.

Came from Scotland 1849-1854 with 3 children: Mary, who married Abraham SEARS, 1860, Cass Co., NE; Samuel, Jr., who married Cynthia Ellen JEMISON; and Elizabeth. Two or three other children born in NE: John Campbell, and Jane/or Jennie Campbell. Samuel, Jr. married 2nd, Matilda D. O. Towne, 4 Oct. 1870. They went to Osborne, KS after raising 11 children. JOHN SEARS, b. KY in Cass and Otoe Co., NE by 1857/58. Spouse Kitty /or Hetty (RADLEY). (They married 1837, Coles Co., Illinois). Children: Hannah, married James B. Crume; Evaline, married Jacob Francis Jemison; Abraham, married Mary Campbell; John A. Sears, married Mary Marie Hawkins; Sarah L. married Phillip O'Neil; Isaac married Hannah Johnson and Ida Sears, b. in NE, never married. Isaac SEARS, b. KY, and spouse Hester/ or Hetty Ann (NEIGHBORS), came from Jasper Co., IL. Appear in Otoe Co., NE 1856. Isaac is brother of John Sears. Children: Sarah Jane, Jacob and Isaac Sears. Hester died 1896, at Brock, Nemaha Co., NE. Isaac died before she did.

BAILEY, BROWN, GOODWIN, HOBSON, PITTMAN, REYNOLDS posted by Susan Hobson Ludwick on Saturday, May 31, 1997: Descendants of Susana GOODWIN born l8l4 in N.C. and came to NE with second husband, James BAILEY in l858. Her step children by her first husband were Ira, David M. Mary, and Martha. Mary married Alba BROWN in l855 in Marion Co. Iowa. Martha married Alonzo REYNOLDS in Iowa about the same time. She had 6 children of her own by Samual Goodwin. They were Temperance Goodwin (HOBSON), Lydia Goodwin PITTMAN, William Spencer Goodwin, Lemon Carey Goodwin, Samuel F. Goodwin, and John H. Goodwin. The second husband, Mr. Bailey, is not living with her in Nebraska City in the l865 census. He is not buried in Cass Co. or Otoe Co. cemeteries that I can find.Susan died in l878 and is buried in Wyuka C. Am interested in locating Pittman descendants or Goodwin descendants to get the family genealogy settled.
