Newark Newspapers
The town or village of Newark is located near Ft. Kearney and was, at one time, an operating town. At this time is a drive-thru town, there are no grocery stores or gas stations in this village. It is unincorported at this time. The newspaper as far as we know was only printed from June 1881 until March 1882. It is possible that it was published prior to those dates, but as the editor of the Newark Herald posted a notice in the March 30th, 1882 that he could be seen in the Kearney County Bee in Minden. The following is what has been found on microfilm for the year that we know the newspaper was published.
The Newark Herald
June 1881 - March 1882 (Births)
June 1881 - March 1882 (Marriages)
June 1881 - March 1882 (Deaths)
