Laconia Mills

The mills in downtown Laconia. The Belknap Mill, on the left was built in 1823. Why here? A canal off the river powered the mill. In 1911 a generator was added which gave them lights so they could run a night shift

If you are interested in acquiring Vital records, NH law requires "direct and tangible interest" for the newer records, which means imediate family or law enforcement. For this you will have to contact NH Vital records yourself.

For older records, meaning, births prior to 1909, deaths, marriages, and divorces prior to 1959 these records are open to the public and you may get volunteer assistance.
