June 28, 2004
The meeting was held at the Museum on Canaan Street and was conducted by Donna Dunkerton in the absence of Dan Fleetham. Members present were: Reg Barney, Carol Bergeron, Louise Kremzner, Anne Neily, Patsy Carter, Pete and Betty Cummings, Jackie and Ed Lary and guest, David Auerbach.
Minutes
were corrected to read the name last monthÕs speaker is Richard Henderson (not
Robert) and accepted.
The
TreasurerÕs report was read and accepted
Old
Business: Donna reported that David Zani would do the dirt work and Bob Levine
would do the concrete work for the snow roller platform. The goal is to have it
finished by Old Home Day.
New
Business: Patsy reported that she hopes to invite John Moody and his wife, of
Norwich, to give a program about Abenaki Indians for the October meeting.
Donna
mentioned the problem of keeping our usual meeting night at the Senior
Center. Because of conflicts, we
may have to change the night.
Carol has
ordered the Gravestone Repair and Maintenance information kit.
Donna
received a black Tripoli bean pot from Dennis Mason of VT. Mr Mason said that it came from the
home of Walter and Ada Story who lived on Canaan St.
Carol
suggested it would be possible to send one postcard with all the meeting dates
rather than separate ones for each meeting. Additional postcards could be sent for special meetings or
when programs warrant them.
The next
meeting will be in October.
The
meeting was adjourned and refreshments served.
Respectfully
submitted,
Carol
Bergeron
