Meeting
of June 26, 2005
The meeting was called to order by
President Dan Fleetham at 7:15 p.m. in the Canaan History Museum.
Members
present: President Dan Fleetham Sr., Treasurer Reg Barney, Secretary Carol
Bergeron, Historian Donna Dunkerton and members: Pete & Betty Cummings, Dan
Fleetham, Jr., and David Auerbach.
The minutes
of the April 25, 2005 meeting were read and accepted with the addition under
old business that the Ògrant was prepared by Donna.Ó
TreasurerÕs
report was read and accepted.

Old
Business: The Savings Bank Foundation, Chairman Charles M. Harrington, Mascoma
Savings Bank has awarded the Society the sum of $1,800 to be used for the
construction of a shelter over the snow roller.
New
Business: Chuck Townsend and Dan Fleetham, Jr. are creating a compact disk of
the history of the town of Canaan to include pictures. This CD would eventually be for
sale. Concern was expressed over
the slow sales of our book.
Dan reports
that the Lumin Winters paintings have been framed and hung by Gary Hamel with
DonnaÕs assistance.
The Museum
will open for the season on Saturday, July 2nd.
Donna
reports that we have the grant money to sponsor Alan KoopÕs lecture on German
Prisoner of War camps in NH. The
special meeting will be open to the public at the Old Meeting House on Canaan
St. on July 11, 2005 at 7 p.m.

Our next
meeting is October 24, 2005 at the Senior Center.
