July 31, 1818, John Elliott, of Concord, New Hampshire, Revolutionary soldier, testified that David Colby, late of Newton, New Hampshire, enlisted in the Continental Army for the war; that declarant enlisted at Morristown, New Jersey, in March, 1777, under Capt. Caleb Robinson of Exeter, New Hampshire, Col. Baldwin, and was a non-commissioned officer in the company in which David served; saw his discharge, etc. that david died at Newton (Elliott's native place) about thirty years ago, unmarried, having no children; that his father, mother, and brother are dead, and his sister, Rhoda, now living at Salisbury, New Hampshire, is his true and lawful heir. John Elliott August 14, 1818, Aquilla Ferrin, of Concord, New Hampshire, yeoman, testified that he formerly lived in Newton, New Hampshire, within half a mile of David Colby's residence; that David died about thirty years ago; that David's mother died about sixteen years before David did and that Nathaniel, David's father, died about seven years after David's death; and Rhoda Colby, his sister, now living in Salisbury, New Hampshire, is the only heir of David and of his father, Nathaniel Colby. Aquilla Ferrin July 31, 1818, Robert B. Wilkins, of Concord, New Hampshire, late Lieutenant in the Continental Army, testified that Colby enlisted for the war. Robert B.
