PEOPLE WITH WEB PAGES FOR LOUDON FAMILIES
KATE WALTER: I've just started a web page on my Hill family line. Nathaniel and Hannah (MOORE) Hill were of Loudon, and their children were born there. They moved on to Exeter, Maine about 1810, and later generations moved to Lowell, MA. Related names are MOORE, BATCHELDER, SHAW, HAINES. Willing to share info by request or to have you add a link to my family site. http://www.life-changing-products.com/genealogy
I have some Loudon families who moved west to Minnesota on the genealogy pages of my site below. Surnames include Holt and Morrill and related lines. Mary L Gillespie Visit my wonderful old octagon house www.holthouse.org
If you know of any additions or corrections please let me know. Thanks.
Site Created August 22, 1997
The first settlement was begun 1761, by Moses Ordway, Abraham Batchelder and Jethro Batchelder. Loudon was formerly a part of Canterbury from which it was taken and incorporated under the name of Loudon on January 28, 1773. The first Congregational Society's first minister was Reverend Jedediah Tucker.
