Hamilton Hurd and Published in 1885. Dr. William Tenney came to Loudon in the year 1793, and married
Abigail Rollins; married the second time Peggy Flanders, and had four
children, named Abigail, Richard P. J., William D. B. and Joseph J. M.
Dr. William Tenney practiced medicine for a long time in town, and at
his decease Richard P. J., having studied medicine, commenced his practice
in his father's place, and continued until the year 1846, when he located
at the enterprising Village of Pittsfield, New Hampshire. He had a large
practice and was extensively known as a physician. After his removal he
was chosen as a member of the Governors Council, and filled other places
of honor and trust, and died at Pittsfield in 1879. He married Hannah
