John King was born in 1672 in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland.

Sometime before 1708 he married Jean _____, and had five children;

1. Samuel King b. abt 1708
2. Victor King, b. abt 1710
3. William King, b.1712
4. James King b. abt 1714
5. Martha King, B. 1724

In about 1730,the entire family went to America, settling in what is now Adams County,Pennsylvania.
