1743, January 27 Page 459 Will of John Stites, Yeoman of Cape May County.
Cousin: Abisha Stites (son of Richard Stites of Cape May, deceased) when 20, one tract of land and marsh between the land of Richard Shaw and John Garlick Cape May County; likewise 50 acres I had bought of the Commissioners of the Loan Office as a legacy left him by his father, I being one of the executors, provided he discharges my executrix from said legacy of ƒ100. If he refuses the land, executrix to sell the same and pay the legacy and dispose to sell the same and pay the legacy and dispose of a cedar swamp (25 acres) at the West Creek, also sell 99 acres of beach and cedar beginning at Pond Creek thence to the bay, downward to Butler Fry yard, thence to Lilly Pond to the place of the beginning.
Wife: Priscilla sole executrix and the use of all lands unsold until my cousin Abisha will be 20 and of the same remaining lands not passed by my will until my daughter Margritt will be 20. If said daughter dies childless, my cousin Abisha to have all lands.
