Speaker: Lester Kish
Topic: Immigration and Passenger Lists
Mr. Kish has conducted research on the Austro-Hungarian Empire since 1985. He publishes a quarterly family newsletter and has spent 25 years researching passenger lists, census records, and vital statistic records. He has presented seminars at the Philadelphia Swedish Historical Museum, the Lehigh County Historical Museum and has taught at family history conferences in many different areas.

Family History Month – Members will discuss their ancestors
"Genealogy...Get ready, Get Set, Get Going" will be presented by Carol Sheaffer and Nancy Cassada Nelson prior to the regular meeting on November 10th. It is aimed at new CJGC members who are just getting started and need some direction and help with planning. It reviews basic steps to take to locate and organize what one already knows about family history, how to use family group records and pedigree charts to organize and develop a research plan, and then discusses what kind of records can be helpful and where to find them online and in traditional repositories.
