DO YOU HAVE A PATRIOT IN YOUR FAMILY TREE?

Membership in NSDAR is open to women eighteen years of age and older who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.  Documentation must be provided for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.

Admission to membership in the NSDAR is either by invitation through a chapter in your State Society (or Unit Overseas) or as a Member-At-Large. 

No Chapter may discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.

NSDAR Patriot Lookup Volunteers will also help you find out if your ancestor is listed in the DAR Patriot Index. Your patriot ancestor does not need to be found in the current DAR Patriot Index in order to qualify for membership.
