DAR MEMBERSHIP

DO YOU HAVE A PATRIOT IN YOUR FAMILY TREE?

Membership in NSDAR is open to women eighteen years of age and older who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.  Documentation must be provided for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.

Admission to membership in the NSDAR is either by invitation through a chapter in your State Society (or Unit Overseas) or as a Member-At-Large.

No Chapter may discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.

Please see the NSDAR web page concerning "Membership and Eligibility Requirements."

Another resource is the DAR Genealogical Reseach System (GRS) on the NSDAR web site. The GRS is a combination of several extensive genealogical databases and contains names of Revolutionary patriots, both men and women, whose service (between 1775 and 1783) has been established by the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. Additional information available may include: dates and places of birth and death, name(s) of wife (wives) or husband(s) and children, rank, type of service and the state where the patriot lived or served. Your patriot ancestor does not need to be found in the current DAR Patriot Index in order to qualify for membership.

We welcome the interest of prospective members, and invite you
to contact us --Chapter Regent, Mrs. Stephen Jurczak (Linda) for more information.

Web hyperlinks to non-DAR sites are not the responsibility of the NSDAR,
the state organizations, or individual DAR chapters
