Questions Concerning the Electronic Master Questionnaire
We are receiving a lot of emails and phone calls from chapter regents about where and how to access a chapter's pin number for work on the Electronic Master Questionnaire.
All chapter regents should download and review the Pin instructions (PDF file) for the Electronic Master Questionnaire.
Questions that you cannot answer should be referred to Susan Metzger, National Vice Chairman, Electronic Master Questionnaire at susantelee@yahoo.com .
Thank you for helping us get the Master Questionnaire off to a great start!

Update on J.E. Caldwell and Insignia Service
NSDAR has been informed that Findlay Enterprises, owner of J.E. Caldwell and Company, has been sold in bankruptcy proceedings to merchandise liquidator Gordon Brothers. We have also been informed that as part of these proceedings, Findlay/Gordon Brothers will be filing a request with the court to sever its longstanding ties with NSDAR. As a result, it is expected that next February or March J.E. Caldwell will no longer accept orders for NSDAR insignia. Until that time, however, we have been told that J.E. Caldwell will continue to operate and fulfill orders just as it has in the past.
NSDAR is in early talks with a number of individuals and firms who have expressed interest in providing insignia service to our organization comparable to that of J.E. Caldwell. In that the bankruptcy proceedings are still underway, and because we want to make sure that any group we enter into an agreement with for insignia services going forward will provide NSDAR the highest quality service, great care will be taken in selecting a new vendor. The goal is to make a timely selection so that there is little or no disruption for NSDAR members.
Further information will be shared on the NSDAR members’ website as more information comes available, or further developments occur.

NSDAR Announces New
Electronic Master Questionnaire
Dear State Regents and State VIS Chairman,
We excited to announce that this year every chapter will be able to complete the Master Questionnaire on-line! The new tool is easy to use, reduces paper waste, and ensures accurate, timely reporting of your chapter and state's accomplishments. Please distribute this information to all chapter regents in your state.
The Electronic Master Questionnaire is accessible on the Members' Web site and can be completed byany member. (A member does not need access to e-Membership.) I encourage you to take time between now and October 31 to visit the Electronic Master Questionnaire site on the Members' Web site through the following link: http://members.dar.org/mq . Choose your state from the drop down box. Next choose your chapter from the drop down box, enter your national number and the chapter pin. The temporary pin for everyone to use is 0000 until October 31.
Prior to October 31, you may try out the e-Master Questionnaire, enter information, and view reports. After October 31, the Electronic Master Questionnaire will be refreshed and any information that has been entered during the trial period will be deleted. The Electronic Master Questionnaire will be available for actual reporting starting November 1.
Please read the "Instructions for Completing the Electronic Master Questionnaire," available from the main menu of the Electronic Master Questionnaire site. The PowerPoint presentation given at the October National Board of Management meeting, a PDF of the presentation slides, and the verbal presentation are available on the Members' website in the Help section at:http://members.dar.org/help/tutorials.cfm.
If you have a question while completing the Electronic Master Questionnaire during the trial period, please contact Susan Metzger, VIS National Vice Chairman, Electronic Master Questionnaire, at susantelee@yahoo.com.
Each state will wish to approach implementation of the Electronic Master Questionnaire in the way that best suits the state. For example, State Regents may want district directors to follow up with chapter regents to ensure they are aware of the new tool, instructions, and available resources. Each State Regent may also wish to designate one individual who would volunteer to enter information into the Electronic Master Questionnaire for chapter's who do not wish to use the electronic version. State VIS chairmen, familiarize yourself with the Electronic Master Questionnaire; you will be the "go to" person in your state for answering questions about the Electronic Master Questionnaire.
Please note that this new tool is still under development and more features and utilities will be added with time. This year, data entry and chapter reports are available now. State chairman reports will be available this winter, but are not currently accessible by state chairman. A division level report for national chairman is not currently available, but this feature will be developed and available in the future.
We want to thank you in advance for using the Electronic Master Questionnaire! Your participation in our newest transition to electronic communication will ensure it is a great success!

Patsy West

Dear NJ Daughters:
It was a thrill for me to be installed as your State Regent in Washington.
It was also wonderful to see so many of you there. New Jersey was
well represented. We won many honors that will be listed in the
State Bulletin. Make sure you check them out.
The National Information Packet is now listed on the
National Members Web Site. For any of you who are serving as
chairman of National Committees you can now print off the information
you will need for your committee. This information should be put
into the post box for the Autumn meeting. If you have any questions
feel free to call me.
Your State Board of Managers are ready to get to work to promote
God, Home and Country. We look forward to working with all of our
members for the next three years. Working together we will make
everyone know just how great the NJDAR is.
Blessings,
Carole
