New Member Social Patriotic/Americanism
October 11, 2014

10am – 12pm

Catch up with your fellow members while spreading the joy of being in the DAR. Invite your daughter, friend or cousin to our October meeting. During the meeting we will tell a bit about our Patriots and why the DAR is important to us.  
Let’s kick off the DAR’s 125th Birthday celebration in style.

 

 

Over Here, Molly Pitcher Historical/American Heritage
November 15, 2014

Hear the tales of the legend of Molly Pitcher and the Battle of the Monmouth County as we celebrate NJ’s 350th birthday. Bring you kids, and grand kids to this lively presentation brought to us by the NJ Council of Humanities and History on the Hoof.

 

 

Wreaths Across America Veterans/Patriotic
December 13, 2014

10am – 3pm

The Wreaths Across America mission is to “Remember, Honor, and Teach”. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and thanking our veterans for their service and sacrifice. The annual wreath laying ceremony started at Arlington National Cemetery and is now performed around the country. Our chapter is organizing the first WAA event at the First Presbyterian and United Methodist Churches Cemetery. Annual Reports NSDAR

The board and committee chairs report on their areas of responsibilities for the NSDAR master questionnaire. All members should have entered their 2014 volunteer hours into Celebrate America by the meeting date.

 

 

NSDAR Program Educational/Women

The DAR has begun a revitalization campaign; learn what’s going on and how you can get involved. Don’t for get to wear your red in support of Women’s Heart Health Month and Valentine’s Day.

 

 

Chapter Awards Day Americanism/Educational

Join in celebrating our Good Citizens, Essay Contest Winners, Teachers and Chapter accomplishments.

 

 

Genealogy Workshop Genealogy/Educational
April 11, 2015

10am – 3pm

The Ferro-Monte Chapter hosts the State revitalization committee as they comes to the Roxbury Library to assist prospects with applications and DAR members with supplementals. This is a great opportunity to get help from the State genies with your brickwalls. Bring your friends, bring your papers and let’s add members and Patriots to our chapter!

Close out the year with a historical site visit and picnic. The location will be picked at the October 2014 meeting.
