The repository of these records will mainly depend upon the
location, and the time frame, in which the record was created. If you know the
County in which the event occurred, please see the NJGenWeb
COUNTY web site first, as these sites often maintain some records.
general, (property) tax records are maintained by the township/city where the
tax was levied and paid. You should contact the town/city clerk of that specific

generally maintained at the County Clerk's office, in the county where the land
