Genealogy & Family History (Basic & Intermediate) Class

This is an introductory course that will give you the basic and intermediate research tools to help you uncover your family history.   Some of the topics that will be covered include vital records, censuses, oral traditions, computer genealogy programs, introduction to internet research, preservation of family artifacts, and more.   Field trips are made to some of the nearby genealogical research facilities to acquaint the student with researching at those facilities.

Enrollment in this class entitles students to one year's free membership in the Genealogical Society of Bergen County.

Classes are held at the Ridgewood Benjamin Franklin Middle School on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 9.00 p.m.
The 2008 course begins on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 and runs to May 6, 2008
