Help Preserve and Share New Jersey Genealogy
The Genealogical Society of New Jersey is the state's premier organization for New Jersey genealogy. Our collections are housed in Special Collection, Alexander Library at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. They offer genealogists a wide variety of materials, original and compiled, to conduct their family research.

Become a Volunteer
GSNJ offers you the opportunity to share your interests and skills, whether you have just a few hours a month or lots of time to spend with us. To date, volunteer contributions have allowed the Society to accomplish goals and complete projects of the Program, Long Range Planning, and WebSite Committees.
