The Haddonfield Chapter of the DAR collects canceled postage stamps for a very important cause, “Stamps for the Wounded.”

This is a 100% volunteer operation. The stamps are delivered to

All philatelic material, this includes stamps both US and foreign, in any quantity is useful.

Envelopes are also of interest. This includes those with special postmarks, first-day covers, first airmail flights, and so on.

Please remember badly torn or defective stamps are not wanted or useful.

Stamps are easy to find. They are in your own mail, your friend’s mail, your business mail, old stamps are in attics, trunks, and closets, anywhere you may have a discarded or forgotten letter.

In clipping and saving your stamps please remember the following:
  1. Be SURE to leave at least a quarter-inch margin of paper around the stamps you tear off the envelopes or packages. Please DON'T try to peel or steam stamps off!
  2. If possible, separate the stamps into 3 groups: Cancelled US, Un-cancelled US, and Foreign stamps. Also, place a total number count on the outside of the package.
Once you have gathered your stamps please bring the stamps to a Chapter meeting or call a chapter officer for mailing instructions.
