Mailing List & Message Board

To keep up-to-date with what is happening at the Historical Society of Winslow Township (HSWT), we have provided 2 methods with which you can get updates and exchange information and resources with others that are interested in the historic aspect of Winslow Township.  The HSWT administers a message board and a mailing list.  If you prefer to read the messages on the Net, then join the message board.  If you wish to receive the messages to your e-mail, then subscribe to the HSWT mail list.  In the near future, all messages posted on the message board will be automatically sent to the mail list.  However, this is only applies to messages posted to the message board and not to the Mail List.  Messages sent to the mail list will NOT appear on the message board.

HSWT Mail List

• To subscribe to the list in mail mode (receive individual messages) by sending a message to that contains the word

  in the body of the message and nothing else.  If your e-mail client program requires the subject filed to be completed then you can include the word subscribe in the subject field, also.  But it MUST be included in the body of the message.
• If you prefer digest mode (all messages are accumulated and sent as one e-mail message), you should send the command (subscribe) instead to .
• There is no "no mail" mode -- if you want messages to stop, you should simply unsubscribe. 
• To post to both NJ-HSWT-L (mail mode) and NJ-HSWT-D (digest mode), messages should be sent to .  Messages sent there will appear both places.
• To unsubscribe from the list in mail mode (you were receiving individual messages) by sending a message to that contains the word

• To unsubscribe from digest mode (you were receiving all accumulated messages as one e-mail message), you should send the command (unsubscribe) instead to .

Message Board

• The HSWT Message Board allows you to post and read messages on the Web. 
• Messages posted on the board will be automatically forwarded to the Mail List.  However, messages sent to the Mail List will not appear on the Message Board.
