I am trying to find information on my mother Anne KELLY and her parents. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on 2/26/1917. Her mother died at childbirth and both parents are buried in Holy Name Cemetary. I am looking for her father;s birthdate and any information on her mother. Her father was James F. KELLY and his wife was Anna MCKENNA. I am sure that both parents had obituraries in the Jersey Journal and I am wondering what would be the best way to get that information. I also was born in Jersey City in the Margaret Hague and lived there until I was thirteen so I do remember some things. I would appreciate any help I can get. .

Trying to find where my g-grandfather, Freerk Tholen BORCHERS, (aka Fritz) is buried. He immigrated from Leer, Ostfriesland, Germany approx. 1903 and lived in Hoboken until his death on 3 May, 1922. He is said to have operated a Beer Garden and to have worked on the Hoboken Piers for many years. He belonged to several German Societies in Hudson County. An article in a newspaper at the time of his death said only that he was to be buried in a North Hudson County cemetary. I wish I knew which one. Thanks for any help.

I am looking for 4 brothers LINDSAY who came from Scotland before 1870 and settled first in Jersey City, NJ. I am not sure of the birthdates but they were all in their late teens or early 20's. the names were Thomas, William, Robert, James. One was in the nursary business and the other 3 worked on the railroads. This is a family story. I have information on the 5th brother John LINDSAY who came over in 1870 and took the middle name of Clark to be distinquished from all the other John Lindsays. He worked building sheds for the brother who had the nursery. John Clark then went to CA, do not know if the other brothers stayed or went to other areas. Have had a number of leads but nothing connects. Thanks for any help.
