My father's name is Edward Patrick DUNLEAVY born 29 April 1933 and I am searching for his parents. Family tradition states that his father was born on the boat from Ireland; although the dates seem wrong. I know that my father was born in Hoboken and I am pretty sure that my grandparents were married in the Catholic parish there and that my paternal grandfather may have been buried there. Any information will be appreciated.
I believe my paternal grandfather Edward or Patrick or Christopher DUNLEAVY died in 1949 and my paternal grandmother Rita REED died in 1962 or 1963. I do not know either of their birth dates, although I believe both were born after 1900. Seeking any information concerning this family. His parents came from from Ireland, possibly from
the Donegal area, via Liverpool, to Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey.
Interested in information concerning my ggggrandfather
Nicholas R. HARING, b. 1821. According to his obituary, he moved from Morris County to Jersey City with his family,
when he was about 7 years old. I suspect his family may
have moved in with HARING relatives, which may be the
reason his father Matthew HARING doesn't appear in the
census. Finding him in the census might help to answer
questions about the rest of his family.

I am in Alaska, as my email address will hint, and I am having a terrible time finding any really helpful info on my family that was in Jersey City from at least 1849 to 1943. Almost one hundred years and only some of the US Census and some city directories. I have military
pension records that help but I have not been able to find marriage, birth, death records. I can not find where most of these people are buried and I do not know who to contact to find these records. I have written to Trenton with no success and have found little at our local LDS FHC, though I have ordered about every film they offer on Hudson CO.
and Jersey City. I had hoped to make a trip East but that isn't working out for a couple of years. Is there any hope to finding the records that will document these people. I have one ancestor that was in the US Army for 45 years, from before the War of 1812 until he died on Bedlow's Island at his post in 1853. He is not listed in Arlington as being
moved there and he is not buried with his wife in Holy Name. He is not with his commanding officer, of 30 years, in Cypress, Brooklyn. He and all the other folks have to be some where. How can I find the records I need in Hudson CO. Thank you for your time, I truly appreciate all help
on this line.
