May Day Parade about the time of
the First World War

I will offer you a picture of a neighborhood
group holding a May Day parade on Oak Street, Weehawken, about the time
of the First World War. Fred H. Rinald was a teen ager and is wearing
the Uncle Sam Costume. He lived at 115 Oak Street. We just
visited there and there is still a house, but it has all new siding. People
in Weehawken take good care of their homes! I have the marriage record
of Frank Rinald (or Rinaldi) and Helen Altenkirch. Although I knew
my grandmother, Frank died sometime between 1915 and 1930, and I did not
know him. I have the record of Helen entering the country as
a 3 year-old, but nothing on Frank.
