The Morristown Chapter DAR offers the following Programs for Girl Scouts

Please contact us at MorristownDAR@aol.com for program information and registration

Colonial Girl Tea Party for Brownie Scouts - supporting the 'Manners' Try-It. This is a hugely popular  program in which Brownie Scouts dress in colonial costume, perform skits about good versus bad manners, learn table settings and table etiquette. The scouts then practice their newly learned skills at a tea party served by the DAR docents
Fun, Family and Folk Art for Junior Scouts - this program helps Junior Girl Scouts fulfill 5 of the 6 requirements for the 'Folk Art' badge. In this program we learn how everyday things, past present, can be folk art, including quilts and toys. Two projects are made during this session, the first is a family collage from old family photos and the second is a traditional craft from earlier times.
My Heritage for Junior Scouts - The Scouts explore their own heritage as we share our American Revolution heritage. They will begin a scrapbook of their family tree, pictures and sayings. We will learn about real American Girls who made a difference in the American Revolution and try a real Colonial Girl Activity.
