Thanks to the helpful soul who offered this info: Ellis's "History of Monmouth County New Jersey" starting on page 649 has a history of the Methodist Church at Blue Ball, which is now Adelphia. The church is the oldest Methodist society in Monmouth County, the church building was located on what is now Wycoff Road where the cemetery is. At the time of Ellis writing the church was known as Bethesda and still located at the cemetery.

Cemetery is bounded by Atlantic Ave and State Hwy 35 N.(the circle) Original meeting house constructed between 1693 and 1701. It is assumed burials were conducted adjacent to the meeting house shortly thereafter. Early wood markers in southwest corner (oldest area used) have disintegrated. Engraved stones were not acceptable to 'Friends' until late 18th century.

Northwest corner of NJ National Guard Training Center. Formerly farm land owned by Commodore Robert F. Stockton. Members of Newbury and Curtis family buried here on south side of Sea Girt Ave. As of 1987 ground was covered by business structure at 600 Sea Girt Ave. Some bodies had been removed, as late as 1922 it was know other deceased persons remained in thier original resting place.
