the Burial Ground of Revolutionary War veteran Lt. Abraham Osborn, a
member of Hendrickson's NJ regiment. Lt. (later known as Colonel) Osborn
owned a farm in that area, a portion of which has become the Manasquan
River Golf Club. Also buried here are his wife, Elizabeth and other

Thanks to the helpful soul who offered this info: Ellis's "History of Monmouth County New Jersey" starting on page 649 has a history of the Methodist Church at Blue Ball, which is now Adelphia. The church is the oldest Methodist society in Monmouth County, the church building was located on what is now Wycoff Road where the cemetery is. At the time of Ellis writing the church was known as Bethesda and still located at the cemetery. |
