Lieut. James LYON, son of Samuel, born Oct. 5, 1700, married (1) Ann HOOKEY; (2) Mercy OLIVER Jan. 30, 1747. His commission was given by W. BURNETT May 1, 1732. Children: James, born Aug. 8, 1730; James (2), born Jan. 22, 1731; Ann, born 1734; Henry, born Feb. 12, 1735; Samuel, born June 15, 1738; Ann (2) born Apr. 26, 1741; Mary, born Feb. 21, 1743; Oliver, born Mar. 24, 1749; William, born May 28, 1750; Sarah, born Jan. 23, 1752; Joseph, born Jan. 20, 1753.

Many additional records of the LYON family have been found, but not room to give further.
