Eagle Scout

Young men who achieve the Rank of Eagle Scout demonstrate their belief in the same principles of Patriotism and American Heritage as the NSSAR, and are deserving of special recognition for their accomplishment and dedication.

Our Chapter presents a Certificate of Recognition to Eagle Scouts from Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties.  Eagle Scouts are also given the opportunity to compete in the State Essay contest with the winner being entered into the National contest.

The winner and runner-up of the National contest are awarded scholarship money at the NSSAR Annual Congress.

JROTC Award

The SAR awards the JROTC medal to foster the principle of the "citizen-soldier" exemplified by the Minutemen of Revolutionary War days.

Our Chapter presents this award to young men and women who are enrolled in the JROTC program and are selected by their Commanding Officer for their high degree of merit with respect to leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence. There are many participating High Schools in our area.

Good Citizenship Award

The Good Citizenship Award is given to the outstanding high school student in his/her school considering both citizenship and scholarship. Our Chapter works with participating High Schools to recognize these future leaders.
