South River Across Time, 1895-2004


This historical tour of South River combines photos taken by R. Van Dyke Reid in the late 1800s and early 1900s with photos of the same locations taken in the early 2000s. The original project was funded by a grant from Verizon and was designed and created by high school students with the cooperation of the South River Historical & Preservation Society, Inc. and the South River School District.

The original version of the tour, created by the 2000-2001 South River High School Community Problem Solvers, used frames and was optimized for Internet Explorer. It is available for viewing at the South River Museum. The current version does not use frames, can be viewed with any browser, and contains corrected material.
