View of the Docks from the River

front of View of the Docks from the River postcard

This view of the dock area along the river is from the 1890s. The 3 story building to the right is Andrew Church's feed and grain store which was located along the river, near Main Street. The low pavilion-like structure, near the center of the picture, stood on Water Street near Main Street. The white building further down the river is the Klauser Hotel which was located on the corner of Klauser Lane and Water Street. To the far left are buildings on the old Causeway.
