December 9, 2013 - Drop off Christmas cards at Lorene's.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warm fellowship with friends and family.
It’s time to start our Christmas cards for the veterans at the VA hospital in Lyons. For any new members who aren’t familiar with our tradition, this is something we do every year and is always greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in participating, please buy one box of cards and sign with this message:
Thank you for your service to our country. Merry Christmas
from the Westfield Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution
Please leave signed cards in my mailbox on or before Dec. 9th. The veterans have their Christmas party that week and it will be a nice time for them to be received. I will bring them to the hospital. Thank you for helping. This is one small thing we can do to bring some cheer to our veterans during the holiday season. Donations of sealed packages of candy or candy canes are also gratefully accepted.
Don’t sign your name or return address.
This is my address, thank you again!
