Submitting a Photograph

To submit a photograph to this web site, please send it to us in either .jpg or .gif format. Many photo-shops will convert your hard copy photographs into these formats by placing them on a CD. Use an email attachment to send the photo. You may also send the photo image in the body of the email and we can copy it from the email. You may scan a hard copy photo to convert it to a computer image. You may also have your film developed and copied to a CD at that time for a small fee. Feel free to send us the CD or the files from the CD.

Photographs submitted to this site are edited. Original photos remain the property of the submitter. Edited photographs are protected by the copyright owned by C. W. Barnum, webmaster.

County, Town, Cemetery name, and name on the head stone.

Tips for Photographing Tombstones

For best web site presentation, get as much tombstone in the photo as possible and the least amount of background.
If the letters are difficult to see, use a spray bottle of water and spray the headstone with clear, clean water before taking a picture.
Make sure no undesirable background is in your photo.
Taking photos in the morning and evening may produce more contract than when the bright sun is shinning directly on the tombstone.
