Help for Beginning Researchers |
|
ˇBienvenidos! Welcome to the NMG.org Latino Page for beginning genealogists. My name is Annette Wasno. I began my family research late one February night in 2000 as I surfed the 'Net looking for family names on various genealogy websites. I quickly learned that generation after generation of my ancestors had been born, married, raised children, and died in New Mexico. I also learned that researching Hispanic ancestors has its advantages as well as its challenges. My goal in creating these pages for the NMG.org web site is to provide information and advice about researching Hispanic New Mexican families that doesn't appear in other sources. The pages will contain hints to beginners from a more experienced beginner. The advantage for you is that the lessons I've learned are still very fresh in my mind. And I'm still learning, so I hope to update this page with my own Lessons Learned from time to time. Que tengan Ustedes buena suerte. ˇVámonos! Best of luck to all of you. Let's go!
